House Extensions
Throughout Nottinghamshire we have built an array of house extensions for a variety of purposes these include: two storey extensions, three storey extensions, garage conversions, loft conversions – Hip to Gable and Dormer Style, Rear House Extensions, L-Shaped/Wrap-around extensions and Over-structures.
Why do people want house extensions?
In the past few years, we’ve noted that:
1) Extra space is still the main reason – families grown and working from home is becoming normalised.
2) One of the other huge drivers in Nottinghamshire is increasing the value of the property. A recent report in The Times newspaper said the value of a home increases on average by 10 per cent after extension costs. Research from Nationwide estimated that, typically, extending a three-bedroom home with an additional bedroom and bathroom would rise the value by 23 per cent. This is evident in areas such as Clifton, Beeston and West Bridgford.
3) Avoiding the cost of moving. Buying and selling a home is expensive. Solicitor fees, stamp duty, removal costs, estate agent fees, renovation of new property…the list is endless.
